Rainy Day Sharing

Found these this weekend.  They have already sold but I wanted to share with y'all.

Plus look at how awesomely retro the handles are?

I would paint them...maybe a malachite green?  Something bold.

Also added this funky swag lamp to the booth and I wish that the picture could convey the amazingness but I'm afraid it doesn't.  The color on the inside of this thing is to die for turquoise.  The scalloped bottom should be noted as well.

Now if only all of this rain would go away...

Ring of My Dreams

I think I just fell in love with this pagoda ring by Parisian jewelry designer Philippe Tournaire.

Probably costs a million Euros.  Can't Target do a good cheap vesion?  That's my favorite...

Ketchup

Let's play catch up.

I purchased this truck:

I have named it Reginald Charles aka Reggie.  I have used him to pick up these items:

This amazing pink tufted velvet sofa with perfect upholstery.  Available in my booth for $450.

Bassett faux bamboo desk from 1973.  Available in FINDS for $175

This crazy ass pair of chairs that I am so in love with.  Look at those wings!  They would look fantastic painted white and re-upholstered.  Available in FINDS for $250 for the pair as is.

THIS is huge, not particularly size wise, but just in general amazingness.  It's orange-y, pagoda-y and I can't get enough of it.  It has a few issues that I'm going to talk to an upholsterer about tomorrow, still quite sure what to charge for it.

Close up of the fabric.  So so good.

And lastly these.  These Italian Tole Sheaf of Wheat lamps are in mint condition and a too good to be true find from PA.  I threw these bad boys on eBay.  The listing ends in about a day.  Be sure to check them out!

Glad we are all caught up...

Thrifted: Arc Lamp Inspiration

This image is killing me softly right now.  Using this as my inspiration for my bedroom....hopefully it will translate.

Here is my lamp...found at a Habitat for Humanity Re-Store for $30.  Not quite as grandiose but then again I don't live in a bungalow made entirely of windows....which is good for my neighbors because I frequently walk around in the nude...

Not my apt....btw that is A's arms you see.  I think he's muscly.

Will keep you updated on the progress that the bedroom makes.

Giveaway: Couture Arabesque

Again, apologies, I had to jet off to San Diego for my real job and that left me barely any time to breathe let alone blog.  I had to wear a track suit...along with the rest of the company...it was horrible.  If it wasn't so funny I would never want to speak of it again.  Such is corporate America, God bless it.

This is fun, and you should check it out.  An item from my Etsy shop CURATE is being featured in a Mega May Giveaway over on my friend Leah's blog, Couture Arabesque

That's my little vintage chip and dip set.  Go check it out!  The giveaway is worth over $200!

Flea Market Chair Love

Found these today...and added to the available list at FINDS.  They were sold by an ex-convict who was dealing at a flea market...he was super nice....and had some fantastic shizz.

Amazing, original vinyl upholstery in perfect condition.  I call this "man chair."
$135

And this beautifully tufted hot pink velvet dream.
$140

The ex-convict told me all about how he met his baby momma while he was in prison and how he is about to move onto two acres of land and plant a garden.  You really learn the most interesting things when you go hunting for pieces, especially when you are not afraid to tread into some unsavory places....

Let Me Let Me Update You

Sorry for the brief hiatus...I know that wallpaper was great looking but you probably got tired of seeing it at the top of the blog for a week.  I took a little time off to turn 27 and go on a trip to the mountains of NC with the boyfran.

We hiked to a waterfall, very earthy of us right?

When we weren't communing with nature A indulged me in a little thrifting/antiquing.  I brought back photos to share.

Found this in a thrift store....amazing.  It's now in the booth for $120

Not that I could have hauled it back, but I SQUEALED with delight when I saw this bad boy.  Someone had, smartly, already purchased it.  I mean.  I mean. I mean.  Wow.

Died over all of this burl wood.  Wanted to take all of them home with me.  I'm seriously getting a truck soon so A can stop pulling me away from furniture that I can't take home.

Look familiar?  Yeah it's the same piece (well maybe not the exact same) that I found in a Salvation Army that they wouldn't hold for me and was sold  by the time I got back with a truck.  STILL upset about it.  Gorgeous.

This is crazy, but we bought it.  We call it King Tut lamp. With a barrel shade, this could be awesome in the right space.

This was $600 but I still loved it.  It's big enough for me to ride.  I would love to put it in my house and invite all my friends over for elephant rides.

With the right fabric these could be unreal.  Such an unusual shape.  Haven't seen another pair like these...that's what he said.

These were already sold, and I couldn't have hauled them home anyways, but they were $70 each.  SEVENTY DOLLARS EACH.  Hot dang.

Got these at an estate sale.  They are solid brass and I will probably be polishing them for a whole day, but look at the great greek key details.  Going in the booth soon

Whew.  I'm still trying to catch up and get the goods I did get tagged and in the booth.
